EME 6m
I have seen out ends of telecasting on the 1st TV channel at last. The 6m band is clean finally !!!! A space for 6m band operation is open but unfortunately the sun is still sleeping. On the other hand the moon is here always. Future will show me more.....
Why to start 6m/EME operation ?
I have spent my previous HAM radio activity (45 years) on the HF bands only. I put my brain to the TopBand mainly since 1964. As somebody more clever than me said \"nothing is for ever\" I have personally obtained conviction that DXing on HF bands and 160m mainly is not so as it used to be before. Because of being at the end of collecting of the Band points and this competition underflowed me, so I don\'t want to be patient for this a few DXCC countries which I am still missing on a certain HF bands. But of course I will carry on the HF bands further. I began to consider what to do next time. As I am not contester so I lend my remote controlled QTH to contesters who are enthusiastic to use one and all seems to me that they generated very good results from there. I was told that I built the best antennas system for the 160m band in EU ( I am adding maybe ). I have never inclined to UHF bands so my decission fallen to go on 6m the \" Magic Band \". When I read the artical of Lance, W7GJ`s about 6m EME and because I still believe that some maximum of sunspot cycle comes to allow propagation on this band via F2 layer all WAS DECIDED e.g. the way going further. Nevertheless the 6m band is currently occupied by TV broadcast station 1st TV channel here which is so closed to my QTH and radiates several MW that I might not operated this band at all. I have confirmed 47 DXCC 6m countries only at the moment. Fortunately thanks to digitalization the TV TX is going to be switched off in November 2009. Till then I would like to be ready for serious 6m operation the EME included. ( on November 1st, 2009 )
